James Blair, a police magistrate from Sydney and Portland, bought six acres and built 'Greenhill', living there until 1883 when he returned to England. It was bought by Alexander Landale, pastoralist of the Deniliquin area, and renamed Aroona. The Landale family lived there until the death of Mrs Landale, then the estate was subdivided in the late 1920s to form Landale Rd.
